Rogueblox Races Guide and Roll Rates
Races are a required part of every Rogueblox character. They provide perks as progression continues, primarily through passive buffs, with some day-earned perks functioning as usable Active moves. These Active moves can be valuable combat tools.
Race categories
Rogueblox has three main race categories:
- Rollable
- Obtainable
- Unobtainable
The categories function differently, so identify a race's category before planning a character around it. This distinction matters for both character building and longer-term progression decisions.

Perks and progression
Race perks develop through progression. Most are passive effects that continuously improve or alter a character, while certain perks gained through days are Active moves that can be used directly.
When choosing how to develop a character, account for both sides of a race's kit:
- Passive buffs affect the character without needing activation.
- Active moves are usable abilities and may provide important options in combat.
For class-related planning alongside racial perks, see the Rogueblox Class Progression guide.
Subraces and shrines
Subraces and shrines cannot be active together. Choosing one prevents the other from being active at the same time.
Subrace effects are also not retained through rebirth: all subrace effects are lost upon rebirth and must be obtained again afterward. Plan around this before investing in a subrace effect that you expect to use across multiple rebirths.
